Why today was awesome.
Today was awesome because:
-I turned in my application for my photojournalism scholarship. I had 4 minutes to spare. -Ashley treated me to dinner after I hadn’t eaten for over a day. I was ravenous. -I finally made it home from the longest weekend of my life. -I found out that my morning class is cancelled. -I discovered a lot of cool new music. -I made two new friends.

I was sitting on the couch watching The Office when my sister (who is five years old) walked in and said she didn’t feel good. Mom asked what was wrong but she just came over and sat on my lap. We covered her in a blanket and eventually she fell asleep in my arms. Very cute.

Akhmatova
Got my hands on some Russian poetry. I get the feeling Akhmatova is like the Neruda of Russia, different subject matter, but equally notable.
Neruda is nice to read in English but it just never translates quite as well as it is in Spanish. I would imagine Akhmatova’s poems also are far more eloquent in Russian as well. Still good though.
